A member of the leaf warbler family, the Willow Warbler is one of our most widespread warblers. It is a fabulous yellow-olive colour. Generally difficult to see, it can be located by its very distinctive cascading song which I like to think sounds like a willow leaf gently falling to the ground.
As the name suggests, the vocal Sedge Warbler is generally found around grassy damp areas of scrub. They arrive back to the UK during April. Once heard, their song is instantly recognizable.
